Year 2



In Year 2, while SATs may no longer be compulsory, it's still a pivotal time as it marks the end of Key Stage One. As we transition into Key Stage Two, the pace picks up, and children begin to apply their phonics knowledge to reading and embrace written methods for maths. Our Year 2 class is designed to ensure that every child is prepared and confident for this transition. Our nurturing yet lively style of teaching and learning makes the classroom an engaging environment where children thrive and grow, setting a solid foundation for their journey into Key Stage Two and beyond.

Year 3



A crucial year in terms of social expectations as our ‘little ones’ become part of the ‘big ones’ in Key Stage 2. Consolidation of learning covered in Key Stage 1 (if needed) in English and maths, as well as a focus on the Year 3 National Curriculum ensures your child a supportive and nurturing transition into Key Stage 2.

Year 4



Children already know the routine of ‘juniors’ so alongside curriculum coverage, we nurture independent thinking and learning as the children get ready to move towards upper Key Stage 2. Alongside understanding key skills in English, we understand the importance of the end of year times tables test so we ensure the children make the best progress possible for this end of year assessment.

Our popular 11+ classes ensure your child is fully-prepared for these testing examinations. Alongside teaching English, maths, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, in Year 4 we begin to encourage development of good study hygiene and independent learning. We understand these higher expectations can be overwhelming for younger children, so we make sure there’s extra support and nurturing with frequent feedback and encouragement.

Argghh, your child is almost at the end of primary school- where did the time go? Year 5 is a pivotal year, plugging gaps and getting ready for Year 6 SATs. Assessments become more important to make sure your child is on track. We will help your child plug knowledge gaps, going at a pace that suits them and getting them knowledge-ready for Year 6 SATs.

Year 5 11+



Our popular 11+ classes ensure your child is fully-prepared for these testing examinations, resulting in excellent pass rates*. In Year 5, further consolidation of key subject skills and knowledge continue, as we advance learning at a faster pace. Covering all aspects of English, maths, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, we aim to progress your child to end of Year 6/ beginning of Year 7 level by the time they sit their exam. Flanking this preparation is exam technique, how to manage nerves and coaching for interview success.

Year 6 11+




Our 4 month tutoring program for Year 6 students preparing for the 11+ exams in Jnauary 2025 focuses on intensive tuition to address tricky areas and refine exam and test techniques essential for success in these competitive exams.
Identifying strengths and weaknesses in writing, consolidating skills in verbal reasoning, and boosting maths knowledge through both mental and written methods are all key components in preparing students comprehensively for the 11+ exams. Additionally, providing interview technique practice not only helps students prepare for the types of questions they may encounter but also instills confidence in both the students and their parents as they navigate the assessment process.
